What’s the Ship for the World Youth Program FY2023?
「世界青年の船」事業は、内閣府青年国際交流事業の１つです。
The SWY program is one of the international youth exchange programs of the Cabinet Office.
世界各地の青年が集い、ディスカッションや文化交流等を通じて、異文化対応力、リーダーシ ップ力などの向上を図り、社会貢献ができる次世代グローバル・リーダーとなる青年を育成するとともに、グローバルな人的ネットワークの構築を目的に実施するものです。
The purpose of the SWY program is to bring together young people from around the world and through discussions and cultural exchanges, improve their cross-cultural and leadership skills, develop them into the next generation of global leaders who can contribute to society, and build a global human network.
令和5年度の「世界青年の船」事業は、日本と世界の13か国の青年が、自国から参加するオンライン交流と、来日後の船上や寄港地における対面交流を組み合わせた「ハイブリッド・プログラム」に参加し、各種研修や交流活動を行います。
In the 2023 SWY program, Japanese and international youth from 13 countries will participate in a "hybrid program" that combines online exchanges in their home countries and face-to-face exchanges on the ship and at ports of call after their arrival in Japan, and will conduct various training and exchange activities.

高知県での活動
Activities in Kochi
高知県には、令和6年2月10日から17日までの8日間滞在し、地域の方たちと共に活動を行います。
They will stay in Kochi Prefecture for eight days from February 10 to 17, 2024, to work with local residents.
高知県でのプログラムは、令和5年度の「世界青年の船」事業から新しく設定された「地域実践活動」です。地域実践活動とは、「高知県の地域の課題を地域と世界青年の船事業青年が共創解決する活動」です。
The program in Kochi Prefecture is a new program, "Local Practical Program," which was established in the SWY of FY2023. The "Local Practical Program" is "an activity to solve local issues in Kochi Prefecture through co-creation between the local community and the SWY program youth.
高知県プログラムのメインテーマは、「住み続けられるまちづくりの課題をパートナーシップで解決しよう」です。サブテーマは５つあり、１つのテーマにそれぞれ２つのトピックがあります。
The main theme of the Kochi program is "Let's solve the challenges of creating a livable community through partnerships. There are five sub-themes, each with two topics.
テーマとトピックは、高知県プログラムの活動単位となります。
1トピックの活動単位人数は、高知スタッフを含めて約30人で、１テーマの活動単位人数は約60人です。
Themes and topics are the activity units of the Kochi Program.
The number of activity unit members for one topic is about 30 including Kochi staff, and the number of activity unit members for one theme is about 60.
